To simply 'wish you a happy birthday' seems a bit... generic, for lack of a better word- I'd rather tell you how much it hurts my heart knowing that the only candle I'm able to light for you on your birthday is one of the virtual sort. It's been over 2 years since the "Valentine's Catastrophe Cover- Up" & try as I might I simply CANNOT shake the resentment or regret I carried away from that crime scene with the hope that I'd be able to replace them both with the satisfaction of retribution one day. Until that hope was shattered by the grim reality of the corrupt practices of the 'powers that be' when justice was all but disregarded with little to no recourse on behalf of the people who love you. These days the only comfort I find is in reminding myself that "it ain't over til it's over"- & it's FAR from over in my eyes... I believe you stated it most proficiently when you'd say: "Under promise, over deliver." It might take me the rest of my Lifetime, Brandon, but trust & believe that your efforts weren't made in vain. I'll never be able to re- pay you for the self- less courage you exhibited that horrible day... please know that I am ETERNALLY grateful to you & always will be. I miss you like crazy, man.
